The book is introduced by a brief text about New York and life there, and each chapter is dedicated to a photographer and includes a short biography along with a series of images. The unique black and white photographs by photographic icon Elliott Erwitt meet impressive contemporary testimonies by the well-known photojournalist Thomas Hoepker.
