Amy Dempsey is an independent academic and author of Styles, Schools and Movements: An Encyclopaedic Guide to Modern Art, also published by Thames & Hudson. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Dempsey has written and consulted for a number of museums in London, including the Tate, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the National Maritime Museum.
